When The Time Comes

The Bible speaks in Ecclesiastes 3, of there being a time for everything under heaven. Many people don't know this, so when they think of time, they are usually referring to the time of day, the season, or the time of year. Time is for everyone and everything on earth. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. God, who created time is not bound by the rules or demands of time.

2 Timothy 4 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

God is I am, and He is never worried about the time, however the fact that He continues to give us time should encourage us to be ready when the time does come for us to answer about being our brother's and sister's keepers. Does that mean that we are to beat people over the head with the word? Of course not, Jesus said what He had to say and moved on, because it was, is and always will be up to the person to accept Him or not. Something to think about, because the time will come and those of us who did His will, won't have to regret not warning our brothers and sisters when we had the time to do so.
