What does it matter anyway?

I was talking to my husband, and we noticed something, the things that we know, the next generation will have no idea about. Unless we tell our children what has happened in the past, how will they know the true meaning of something like the rainbow? I would imagine that a lot of this generation will believe that the rainbow signifies sexual pride or the starburst commercial, of tasting the rainbow as it rains down on the earth from the sky.

But not so, the rainbow is a beautiful spectrum of colors that God promised, 16"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.” How wonderful is that?! Who can look at a rainbow after it rains and not think of its beauty? Not anyone I know, but now the truth of what the Bible says in Genesis 9 about it will be known and hopefully spread throughout ALL of the generations!

You might think, what does it matter anyway, what the rainbow stands for? If it matters to God, it should matter to his people!

I am realizing more and more how much of a privilege it is to be a child of God. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for me in Heaven, with Him! (John 14:3). I may have to endure some things while I am here on earth, but that is okay because Jesus is my personal savior, so I need not fear! If you don't know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, I beg you, get to know Him in the pardoning on your sins!
