Band-Aids weren't meant for Brokenhearts!

I remember a specific time in my life, after experiencing a very serious heartbreak, I had shut down. I would only deal with certain people, people who didn't remind me of the people who had hurt me deeply. The funny thing was that I didn't know that I had imprisoned myself in a manmade box. Even then, I didn't know that I was merely putting a band-aid on a heart that was shattered to pieces.

I have been through so much heartache in my life that I think I really believed that all I had to do was a, b and c and that would fix everything. But how do you fix what you don't even know is broken? I know you probably read that twice for understanding, let me explain how I learned the truth about my heart condition. I was at home in bed and a relative brought their newborn over to visit.

I was happy to see my family member and the new baby, my boys were home and just as excited about the new baby. I asked to hold the infant. As soon as the child was comfortably in my arms, I felt my heart melt, and I knew instantly that my heart's condition was dire. I don't know who is reading this but if you have even an inkling of a heartbreak, do yourself and those you have influence over a favor and don't try to put a band-aid on a broken heart.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Allow God to do what He said in His word that He can do for your heart! If you don't know Jesus, ask Him into your heart today, believe that He is the only begotten son of God, confess your sins and ask for forgiveness! If you have done this today, I say welcome Fam!!!
